Vancouver Felt Amazing, an exhibition at Urbanity until Oct 21

Inspired by the Maiwa Textile Symposium, Urbanity on South Granville presents Felt Amazing, an exhibition that brings together twelve textile artists from around the world who work with felt.

From October 7th to 21st, 2011 discover the works of Breanna Rockstad-Kincaid of the USA (Tennessee), Charlotte Buch of Denmark, Claudia Rosillo of Uruguay, Dagmar Binder of Germany, She Felt of Canada (British Columbia), Karin Wagner of Switzerland, Lauri Chambers of the USA (Washington), Lisa Klakulak of the USA (North Carolina), Marjolein Dallinga of Canada (Quebec), Sandra Loeffelman of the USA (Washington), Sarah Fox of the USA (Oregon), and Torill Haugsvaer Wilberg of Norway.

Urbanity has felt jackets, dresses, jewellery, scarves, and lots of amazing felt flowers. “Karin Wagner’s flowers are so exquisite, you will hardly believe the delicacy of them”, says Julia Manitius of Urbanity. Each artist’s work is so different from the other, yet the show is amazingly harmonious. All the work is for sale, except that of Charlotte Buch.
