Granville Fine Art on South Granville presents Speaking of Silence, an exhibition of work by Artist Janice Mason Steeves from September 15th to 27th, 2012.
Janice Mason Steeves is a painter with an interest in mythology and psychology. Often painting in monochromatic tones and using strong contrasting values, her work revolves around the theme of Vessels, whether they are actual images of vessels, or images that act as vessels and contain other ideas. Currently she is exploring the idea of writing her own myths to accompany each series of paintings. The myth then becomes a vessel by providing a container for the work.
