The three dimensional work of Hughes skillfully combines themes of perspective, paradox and the persistence of vision. Hughes has named his painting technique Reverspective, a presentation that is itself a visual paradox: objects that are far away appear the closest.

Hughes’ work is highly interactive on a physical level, viewers complete the work by exploring the multifarious vantage points that each piece offers.
