February 2 – 26, ELISSA CRISTALL GALLERY presents February Exhibition

Posted on 1ST FEBRUARY 2019

This new exhibition of paintings, collage, and photography turns up the heat in colour and intensity. The works move from atmospheric and nuanced to densely coloured and textured, revealing the unique characteristics and individuality of each artist.

Elissa Cristall Gallery is pleased to introduce the work of photographer Barbara Strigel. Barbara investigates the streets and alleys of Vancouver capturing what she calls “the split second poetry the camera reveals in unguarded moments and the sense of significance it confers on a human gesture.”

Included in the exhibition is bold new work by Christopher Friesen. Friesen draws on the work of 18th Century French artist Camile Corot and presents us with a contemporary look at this pre-impressionist master.
