NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD MURAL BY ED SPENCE AT MEINHARDT FINE FOODS

19TH JUNE 2017

3002 GRANVILLE Street
MEINHARDT FINE FOODS
Garden Mural

Public art inspires life in our neighbourhood. Created by artist Ed Spence, our latest display of public art in the South Granville neighbourhood is on the Meinhardt Fine Foods building at 14th & Granville!

“My murals design samples striped textiles. By enlarging with the scale of the striped print, I’m drawing attention to the history of South Granville’s boutique fashion outlets. It is intended to be simple, graphic and impactful from close-up and at a distance — huge photo opportunities here. The palette of black, white and gold allude to the luxury high end goods available and the refined lifestyle of the neighborhood. The image walks the line of the literal and abstract.” —Ed Spence

During the South Granville ArtWalk artist Ed Spence was on hand in the neighbourhood working on his mural masterpiece. We love seeing how it has progressed over the past few weeks.
