Get ready to feel the holiday spirit! We're thrilled to announce Sleigh the Day, our upcoming Christmas campaign to put South Granville on the map as the ultimate holiday destination!
Here’s what you can expect:

November 22, 6:00 pm | As one of the leading neighbourhoods for culture, fashion and style, we are pleased to host South Granville’s very first runway show with special VIP guest Fashion Santa. See the hottest Winter fashions with hair and makeup styled by Suki’s Salon, sip bubbly, and try on some hot products! We expect around 150 fashion enthusiasts at this event, so speak to us if you're interested in adding to the swag bag.

December 1, 6:00 pm | The festivities start with a beautiful Christmas Tree lighting on South Granville Plaza East (Granville x 14th Avenue). People warm up with festive hot chocolate and brownies while listening to the beloved Mt. Pleasant Brass ensemble. We will light our Plaza tree with a surprise appearance from a cast member of the current Stanley Theatre show, ELF, and then invite people to shop the neighbourhood.

December 1-3 | After the community Christmas tree lighting event, people will shop in the neighbourhood afterwards. We ask you to stay open until 9:00 pm on Friday, December 1st and offer deals, activations, treats, bubbly… Anything interactive aspect to draw people in until the end of day Sunday, December 3! Ask us if you need inspiration! We will collect your activations to put on a map/print collateral.

December 2, 10:00 - 6:00 pm | In partnership with Le Centre Francophone, there will be a French Christmas Fair where one can visit with Santa, enjoy French story readings, as well as peruse crafts and food. The shopping weekend continues as we invite over 300 Marché visitors to shop in the neighbourhood.

Throughout December, roaming Christmas performers add to the festive atmosphere. Of course, we'll be decorating the area in full Christmas spectacle with luminous Christmas lights on the poles, Christmassy plaza pods, garland bedazzling the Stanley marquee, a Christmas Tree on the Plaza, and Mistletoe stations throughout the neighbourhood.

South Granville Christmas Window Decorating Contest
Decorate your windows to help make South Granville the place to be for the holidays. The SGBIA will be hosting a Holiday Window Decorating contest! Decorate your window displays to cheer up the streets, let people vote on their favourite display and win a big treat for you and your staff. Assemble your team, get creative, make festive magic! If you're interested in participating in our Window Decorating Contest, simply decorate your window and let us know by November 9, 2023, by sending an email to marketing@southgranville.org.
