The BMO Marathon is Happening in May
Please note that while the upcoming BMO Vancouver Marathon on May 2 and May 3, 2026, will involve significant city-wide traffic changes, however, there are no direct impacts or road closures scheduled for the South Granville area.
The Vancouver International Marathon Society (RUNVAN®) has issued a special traffic advisory for surrounding neighbourhoods, including Fairview, Kitsilano, Riley Park, and the Downtown core. If you or your staff commute from these areas, or if you have deliveries scheduled for that weekend, we recommend reviewing the detour maps in advance to avoid delays.
Key Dates & Impacted Areas:
Saturday, May 2: Impacts in Riley Park, Coal Harbour, and Downtown.
Sunday, May 3: Extensive closures across Kitsilano, Fairview, Kerrisdale, UBC, and the West End.
