Adult Percussion and Hand Drum Class at Pleasant Mountain Music is a new program for beginner to intermediate percussionists who want to explore rhythm in a fun, group-based setting. Led by teacher Arturo, the class focuses on healthy playing technique, rhythm patterns, and playing together as an ensemble.

Participants work with a range of styles and influences, including Afro-Cuban rhythms, ska, and well-known rock grooves, while building timing, coordination, and musical awareness. The class is designed to be hands-on and collaborative, with plenty of opportunity to experiment and develop confidence.

Students can bring their own hand drums (such as djembe, bongo, or conga) or use instruments provided on site, including rhythm sticks, shakers, buckets, and drumsticks available for borrowing or purchase.
