Queer Choir at Pleasant Mountain Music is an inclusive, community-based choir for trans, non-binary, and queer singers in Vancouver. The focus is on creating a safe and supportive space where everyone can explore their voice, regardless of experience level. No prior singing experience is required.
Participants work on a diverse range of music, including arrangements by queer artists and composers such as Chappell Roan, Tracy Chapman, and Janelle Monáe. The choir supports vocal development through healthy technique, harmony singing, and basic music theory, while also building a strong sense of community through shared music-making.
Members can drop in for a single session or attend regularly. Those who participate over time can join short performances held twice a year, in June and December.
