2025 Summer Preview

The South Granville Summer Social Club is Coming

Our 2025 summer campaign runs from June through August. Inspired by the easy charm of Italian summers and aperitivo culture, this year’s programming is designed to bring warmth, vibrancy, and foot traffic into the neighbourhood, supporting our local business community through thoughtful, public-facing activations.

Here’s what’s coming: 

Bend & Flow Yoga

Free, all-level outdoor yoga classes return to the park just off Fir Street. These sessions have been a consistent draw, with participants often heading out for brunch, coffee, or a browse through nearby shops after their practice.

VMO Plaza Concerts

Two live evening performances will transform our plazas with classical interpretations of contemporary music. These concerts are designed to create a cultural gathering space that’s relaxed and family-friendly.

GranVino Wine Walk

This ticketed wine tasting event invites guests to explore the neighbourhood with a wine cup in hand, visiting participating stores and galleries for sips and in-store activations. GranVino is designed to bring new audiences directly into your businesses. (All host spots are currently full.)

Small-Scale Activations

There’s more! We’re working with local groups to activate the plazas. This year’s small-scale activations range from live painting, to karaoke to an introverts book club and more!

Placemaking & Promotion

You’ll notice seasonal décor, music, signage, and furniture in the plazas to help set the mood. We’re also promoting the campaign through social media, email, print ads, media partnerships, and, for the first time ever, Spotify podcast ads.

We encourage members to lean into the campaign: decorate windows, offer summer specials, or help spread the word online.
